The ninth annual Veterans Day celebration, “Appreciating the USO for Lifting Spirits of Our Military Forces Past and Present,” with music and speakers is at Veterans Memorial Plaza, Sacramento VA Medical Center, 10535 Hospital Way, Mather. Entertainment begins at 9:30 a.m. Cordova High School United States Air Force ROTC Jr. presents colors. The Vultures Row Formation Team will provide a flyover at the end of the ceremony. The event is sponsored by the city, the Department of Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System and Alphagraphics Rancho Cordova.

Join us at Village Green Park as we help Rancho Cordova kick off their 2017 Holiday season

Sing along with the River City Concert Band at Carmichael’s annual tree lighting bash, where you can indulge in fare from food trucks like Cowtown Creamery, Frenchy’s Waffles and Squeeze Inn. A 50-foot-tall tree will be lit while everyone partakes in a day of arts and crafts, with booths for cookie decorating and face painting, along with visits with Santa. A holiday canned food drive benefiting Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services aims to keep the Grinch away.
